Dental Prom - Part 2

The 2nd Annual Goldman Gala had a few new flashy enticements:

1. Really Nice Venue
Boston Park Plaza Hotel

2. Live Band
The live band was so awesome. They sang lots of songs which were great for dancing to, and they would walk through the mass of people. It was the perfect music for an event like this.

3. Photobooth
Best Idea EVER!
Everywhere should have this. Seriously.
It was so much fun to go in the photobooth and take ridiculous pictures.
And getting the print outs!
Seriously. I want a photobooth in my house right now.
Or at every event I ever go to.

I absolutely love every shot of the study group.
The Lucinda and I one makes me laugh... we like it all except the last shot.
The huge group shot was hilarious... Seriously, John and Derrick are ridiculous.
And Dr. Moran. I love that we posed around him while he didnt move or change his face.
The entire thing was AMAZING.

4. The Food.

Option 1: Vegetarian Lasagna

 Option 2: Steak

Option 3: Fish

Dessert
There was definitely a moment, where after our server had come by for the fourth time to re-ask what meal we were supposed to get, that we highly doubted we'd be getting food at all. But it turned out. I got the Fish option, Lucinda got the Vegetarian Lasagna and the rest got Steak. Lucinda and I went halvsies on our meals and both were really good, though the Lasagna might have been my favorite (even though I love me some potato pancake). And the dessert? Well, mine was demolished before the others even had their forks out. HA.

5. The Company (and no I'm not making a Prison Break reference)

Me
Tamsen and John Keyes

Dan and Lucinda Barry
Aaron and Sabrina Baumler-Hartman (HA - just kidding, their last names arent hyphenated even though I did try to make their name tags say that since I set up who was at our table)
Our table was smaller than everyone else's but I kinda liked it that way.
I'm exclusive like that.

6. Dental Tooth Ice Sculpture

Dee, Lauren Greco, Heather Parson, Lucinda, Me, Liz Benz

BEST GROUP SHOT EVER.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT.

I'm a little jealous Dee got a singular shot with the tooth... I kinda wanted one.

HA. Derrick here is showing off his lovely strapless dress. That Derrick. Always looking nice.

Dental Prom - Part 1

I headed over to Sabrina's so that her, Dee and I could get ready together. Since I was doing her hair I figured I'd be ready before I got to her house.

Which was definitely the smart decision, since I also ended up doing Dee's hair.

I wont lie, I was really proud of how Dee and Sabrina's hair turned out. Sabrina's I curled with my straightener. And I did a bit of a 50's inspired half up-do for Dee, which I'd never even attempted anything similar before. So I couldnt help but love how great they looked and that I had had a hand in creating it.

I pinned curls (instead of letting them go into ringlets)... I actually think her hair looked better once she started dancing and it loosened a bit. But this picture is definitely a prom shot!

Lucinda and Dan met us at Aaron's.
Jess did Lucinda's hair. And I added the flower and tucked back in a couple pieces that fell out. As usual Lucinda looked awesome.

So everyone was very impressed with my hair.
I'd curled it with a pencil and a straightener (which blew a few minds).
It took me about two hours for those curious souls out there.
But I really liked it.
Sometimes I wish I had tighter curls. And for the night I got to have them.

We took a few shots of all of us girls.

And this officially might be my favorite photo of Me, Lucinda and Dee.
I kinda love us!

Matt Wertz

Alisun is a HUGE Matt Wertz fan. And when she asked if I wanted to go to his concert, I couldnt think of a reason why I wouldnt want to.

This is Ben Rector.
He opened for Matt Wertz.
But we totally missed that.
But he was wearing suspenders and played the piano with Matt Wertz.
He had me at suspenders though.
Seriously, what boy doesnt look completely dashing in suspenders?
I didnt get a chance to hear his music until I got home (www.freeBenRector.com)
He's pretty good.

Robert was a lucky boy since it was him and like seven girls.

Before going to his concert I'd only heard one song...
but I liked it. He played it during the show and
it was amazing.
I had chills.

Dee and Alisun are my go-to "do things" friends. They often suggest concerts, plays, shows or movies. Its always a very fun time. And I'm really happy I have friends who give me fun things to do. I'm not great at finding things to do, but I'm always down for other people's suggestions!

My favorite part of the show was when Matt Wertz would talk. He's a very funny and charming guy. And was very entertaining. It was a fun night.

Dee managed to get the set list. And got it signed by everyone in the band.

And Matt Wertz came out and we got an awesome group shot.

I made sure that Alisun had something just for herself though!
 Thanks for suggesting it Alisun!
It made for a really fun night!
